About Me

Jostein Meyer aka Bruno Banani was born in a little town called Porsgrunn back in 1980. And at a very young age his interest for music was clear to his surroundings. It all started in 1994 at the age of 14 when he started as a dj at the local youth-club. He also played a lot of records for friends and family at different parties and things like that.

He took a little break between 1996 and 1998 and build up his skills in the bedroom, and trained a lot with different technical skills and musical genres.

Recently he has played at clubs like Hammertson and Smuget in Oslo, at Club Esmeralda in Tønsberg and of course his famous club nights like Junglefever, Open Deck Night, Be Your Self Party and Grenland Goes Underground. Club Park in Porsgrunn has hosted these shows many times and Bruno is a well known dj in his hometown. In Skien which is the neighbor-town to Porsgrunn he has played at Neon, Bar and Ritz many times.

Brunos style is very unique and a good mixture of tech-house, prog-house, tribal and breaks. He loves to play around with different genres and get the crowd going all the time. 

Inspirations: Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, Peace Division, Nils Noa, John Digweed, Sasha.

In 2008 he also started producing and has fallen in love with Logic Pro and his Mac.

2009 will be a great year for Mr Banani and a lot of things are under progress, so stay tuned for fresh info on this very talented guy!
